How this MBA salary predictor works

Career Bracket estimates your post-MBA salary using a tier-based salary band adjusted by specialization, MBA mode, target city, and pre-MBA experience. If you enter your current salary, the model also applies a realistic floor so predictions do not fall below a credible hike for experienced professionals.

  1. Pick a college tier to set the base salary band (min and max LPA).
  2. Apply multipliers for specialization, MBA mode, location, and experience.
  3. Calculate the predicted range and mid-point salary.
  4. Project 5-year growth using compound annual salary increase.

Formulas used

Predicted range

Min = Tiermin × M

Max = Tiermax × M

We assume 12% annual growth for illustration. Real growth depends on promotions, job switches, and industry demand.
