DU SOL Distance

Delhi University’s School of Open Learning is one of the most reputed universities in North India, especially in the NCR region. The institution was established in 1962 under the name of the School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education. 

The correspondence university’s online and distance courses, which have been accredited by UGC-DEB, carry equivalent weightage to the on-campus programs. It has also been ranked 7th in the university category of NIRF 2025 for being the pioneer of the distance education sector.

Delhi University’s SOL vertical conducts a continuous series of assessments and semester-end exams to ensure you are well-equipped with the subjects and skills taught during the programs. 

It conducts pen-paper mode examination in offline mode, while assessment is conducted in fully online mode. 

The internal assessments are conducted using the Pragyan portal. These IA contains quizzes, case studies, viva, and subject-specific questions, and have a 30% weightage. 

On the other hand, the semester-end exams are in offline mode. You need to attend the semester-end exams at their pre-assigned exam centres. These exams contain subjective questions, MCQs, and case studies with 70% weightage.
