- Business writing and presentations: emails, one-page memos, and PPT storytelling.
Phase 2: Certification (Months 2-4), pick ONE track
Tip: one completed certification is worth more than five half-finished ones. NPTEL (https://nptel.ac.in) and Coursera financial aid are good low-cost options.

- HR: an attrition analysis dashboard
- Analytics: a sales dashboard in Power BI

Phase 4: Resume, LinkedIn and Interviews (Months 5-6)
- Resume
- Keep it to one page and put a number in every bullet, e.g. “Reduced costs by 12%” or “Handled 200 leads”.
- Mirror the keywords of each job description so it passes ATS filters. Check with https://www.jobscan.co.
- Write a headline with your target role and skills, not just “MBA student”.
- Message alumni for advice and referrals. Many jobs are filled this way.
- Interviews
- Practice case interviews: https://www.caseinterview.com
- Prepare 5-6 STAR-format stories (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
- Do mock interviews with seniors and alumni.
- Job portals: LinkedIn, Naukri (https://www.naukri.com), Instahyre (https://www.instahyre.com), and your college placement cell.
